Hooj is a student marketplace that runs campus-by-campus. It's designed for safer buying and selling with verified school access, messaging built for transactions, and real trust & safety enforcement.
Is it only for students?
Yes — Hooj is intended for student communities. We launch per campus and aim to keep the marketplace focused on students and campus life.
My school isn't live yet. What do I do?
Request your school from the homepage “Find your school” modal (or join the waitlist). Campuses with demand get prioritized and ambassadors help us launch faster.
How does verification work?
Verification is campus-based. We restrict access per school so the marketplace isn't random strangers in your city it's your campus community.
How do meetups work?
Hooj is built around quick campus deals: post → chat → meet. You coordinate in-app, then meet in a safe public spot on/near campus.
What happens when someone gets reported?
Reports are reviewed. If someone is violating rules, we can take action (warnings, restrictions, or removal). The point is real consequences — not vibes.
Is Hooj affiliated with my university?
No. Hooj is not affiliated with any university.
Where can I download the app?
If your campus is live, download links will appear from “Find your school.” If not, request access and we’ll notify you at launch.
